Water. Streams, creeks, ponds, lakes, waterfalls, and rivers. I don’t know about you, but I’m drawn to the various forms of water like a starving bear to a great big gooey pile of glazed doughnuts. Come to think of it, I’m drawn to those doughnuts as well. Especially apple fritters. And I don’t have to be starving. But I digress…

I can sit for hours listening to the melodious gurgling of creeks and rivers in the stillness of the wilds. Their natural beauty is a visual feast to my eyes and soothing to my soul. I love the way it moves over rocks, reflects the images and colors of the flora around it, and undulates through the forest presenting many different photographic opportunities. Water has become one of my favorite subjects to photograph, and I often use it as an important element in my landscape photography. I’m not alone. I believe most landscape photographers are drawn to water and, based on what I see in the photo magazines and books, it is one of the most popular subjects to photograph.

Join us in exploring the magic of moving water. Friday night we'll cover lighting, tips, & techniques for capturing this wonderful subject. Very early Saturday morning will find us on a magnificent stretch of my favorite creek where photo ops and compositions abound. Fall color will be an added bonus!

This is a popular workshop, and I expect it to fill up quickly. (No hype, just the truth!) Limited to 8 people.
Only 1 opening left as of 8/24/08!
